I received a post on my facebook this morning, that brought me to tears of JOY!  A fun experiment in Italy… to give and receive free hugs.  Please take a moment and watch the video here on youTube.

The song “Hallelujah” is one that is sure to touch your soul as you watch simple human interaction in loving embrace.

Have you hugged today?  Perhaps not a random stranger, but your children? Your spouse?  Your good friend?  Your SELF?

Why not get and give a hug today, and allow your Soul Connection to another Human Being…. SOAR!

Let’s be Frank (actually, I’d rather be Heather) and honest here.  New Years Resolutions = another reason to feel guilt, shame, embarrassment, let down, or just plain frustrated. 

Let’s change that RIGHT now.  It’s the 16th of January, 2011.  Nothing different, special or notable about the 16th (no offence if it’s your birthday).  It’s just another day.  It’s a Sunday.  Woo hoo.

Let’s start another thought with “let’s”.  (I do need to improve my vocabulary). 

Time to start with the first of many valuable tips. DE-TOX time!  No, I don’t think you’ve been bingeing on alcohol.  No, I don’t think you’ve been bingeing on food.  Yes, I do think you’ve been bingeing on negative thoughts and perhaps have allowed those thoughts to lead you astray (towards alcohol, poor food choices and the like).  I do think that it’s time to do a physical reality check.  No judgement from me (remember, I can’t see you, I can’t read your mind nor your thoughts… but we are connected somehow in this cosmic highway of life)

How?  Here’s some tips to try:

• What are you thank-full for?  Anything?  Try to find one thing that you’re happy about.  One thing that makes you feel good about you.  One thing.  Here’s an example:  I’m thankful that when my alarm goes off in the morning, I’m gifted with another day.  Basically the goal here is to get you to have a “better feeling thought”.  If there’s absolutely nothing you can find to be thankful for, think about helium balloons.  How random is that?  Most people feel happy when they think about helium balloons.  Some of you have inhaled the helium and giggled with the new tone to your voice.  Some of you remember the balloons from a friends’ birthday party.  Some of you have had fun bursting the balloons and scaring the heck out of your little sister… Thinking a happy thought immediately pulls you out of the mire.  Now think of another, wash, rinse… repeat.
• What gift have you given yourself today?  Hah!  That wasn’t meant to be funny… but you’re laughing???  Seriously, I don’t want you running out and buying yourself something.  I want you to gift yourself something.  Something that no matter your current financial situation, you can gift yourself for… drum roll… no cost.  A BREATH.  Really.  Pay attention to  your breathing.  Give yourself the gift of paying attention to your breathing a few times each day.  You will marvel at the benefits… Please comment on what you notice!
